I feel a little guilty because I’ve left BlackBerry for Android. I’ve had a string of BlackBerry cell phones, and they’re the only phones I’ve ever owned. I still really like my Z10 — it’s a great phone that runs Android apps as well as BlackBerry apps. When I realized that most of the apps I used were Android apps I figured it would be time to switch.
I pre-ordered the Samsung GALAXY Note Edge on the first day and received it on 11/17/14. I’ve been figuring it out all week and I’m really happy with the phone and Android in general. The screen is huge and the curved edge is handy for accessing apps when the home screen isn’t visible.
Believe it or not, I’m missing some of the functionality of my Z10. BlackBerry really does messaging well, and the BlackBerry Hub is pretty awesome. I haven’t found an email app that works as well as native BlackBerry email, but Nine is pretty close. It’s nice to be able to see iPhone SMS emojis instead of the black question marks!
I’m hoping I can sell my mint-condition Z10 and a gazillion cases when I’m ready to part with it. I’m guessing I’ve made the permanent switch to Android (at least until my contract runs out again).
