I will admit that I’m completely enamored with a keyboard. I have a phablet now, and typing on it is pretty easy but it’s not as good as a regular keyboard. I doubt it will ever be as good as using a standard keyboard layout. So, for emails and such I thought I’d look for a Bluetooth keyboard. I did some research and settled on the foldable keyboard from EC Technology.
When it’s folded up, it’s about 1/2″ wider than my phone, 1/2″ shorter, and about twice as thick. So, nearly the same size. When it’s folded out, it’s flat and the same size as a small laptop’s keyboard. The keys are about the same as a laptop in the way they feel and behave, and it has all of the functionality. It’s beefy, and it doesn’t feel like it would break with regular usage.
I’ve been testing it a bit, and it’s great for surfing the Web. Up and down arrows make scrolling easy, and a button on the keyboard to go up to the search bar for typing is handy. Emails are much easier, of course, and so is texting. It’s not something I’ll use every day (you need a flat surface for the keyboard, and a little stand for the phone is good), but when I’m settling in for emails it’s nice to have the option.
